The following programs may benefit to you as you consider your family’s tuition needs:
SCRIP CARDS.
This one is so easy! Shop as you normally would, but just purchase Scrip cards through the regular Scrip or online Scrip program to pay! The school gets 1/2 of the credit and you get the other 1/2 to use towards tuition, music lessons and more! It adds up, especially if you are making any big purchases at places like Lowe’s or Home Depot. One family earned $700 in Scripps money because they used Scrip gift cards when they remodeled their basement. It’s like free money!
SPONSORING AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT.
An international student qualifies at the first student rate. Your child/ren then become eligible for second and third child (etc.) rates. Plus, many
international programs pay the family to cover any living expenses for the international student.
FINANCIAL AID.
The school budgets money each year for families with financial need, available through an application process.
PSAS.
This fund is administered through the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce. Families compete with other private school families from the area, but the eligibility and number of applicants varies each year.
HCS SCHOLARSHIPS.
Private donors provide money for the school to use for families in a one time special need situation.
EITC.
Pennsylvania businesses can provide up to 90% of their taxes to a private school to be used primarily for tuition. While this may not benefit your family
directly, please let us know if you are aware of a business that might want to participate. Those dollars could have an impact on other financial aid awards.
